HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE | shop small and support local businesses

Hope JohnsonComment

THERE ARE ONLY FOUR MORE FRIDAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS. That's a hard one to swallow. Where has this year gone? It seems as if I just finished cleaning up cedar tree bristles from my living room after de-holiday decorating last year! Now I'm getting ready to pick out my Christmas tree for this year!

In the season of Black Friday coming up, I've put together a list of my favorite shops I'll be shopping from this year. I'm doing my best to keep all my shopping as local as I can, and online shopping to support other small businesses just like THE little BLUE CHAIR. You really don't know how far it goes!

PLUM & VIOLET

Plum and Violet is an online retail boutique that releases themed collections for young girls each week, but recently released a "for the boys" collection. The quantities are low and everything sells quickly. One of the thing I love about these collections are that they are curated by the store's owner, Sarah Couvillion. Sarah reaches out to other creatives and small businesses online and etsy and are often running small businesses of their own. So supporting Plum and Violet, you are simultaneously supporting other small businesses as well.

LITTLE BRICK HOUSE

LBH Creations is an etsy shop full of handmade items for your little ones and the mamas and women that chase after those little ones.. From the sweetest little rompers to a coordinating hand clutch for mama, this creative woman behind the sewing machine knows style. One of her clutches is on my own Christmas list. You must check her out.

MADE BY MH

Made by HM is another etsy shop that I've recently stumbled upon and ordered from. This shop is filled with hand stitched embroidery items that are absolutely adorable and make the perfect gifts!

...FROM YOURS TRULY

I decided this year to try to keep 90% of my holiday shopping spent at local and online small businesses. A little support goes further than you think for the movers, shakers, and makers. In the spirit, I pulled a few gift items from my own shop that are either my own favorites or top sellers. Enjoy!
